Rumor: New Nights game for Wii in next issue of ONM?
People have been talking about certain pictures taken by dc12iscool, which allegedly featured a new exclusive game for the Wii. These pictures were said to have come from a preview in the latest Official Nintendo Magazine (ONM). From all indications, it looks like proof of another Nights into dreams or Nid game. The character looks like NiGHTS, an androgynous Nightmaren who wears a purple jester-style hat and an outfit with a diamond on the chest.
The original Nid game introduced two distinct locations where human dreams take place: Nightopia and Nightmare. The evil ruler of Nightmare, Wizeman the Wicked, had been stealing dream energy from sleeping visitors to gather enough power to take control of Nightopia and eventually the real world. He created numerous beings called “Nightmaren,” including two acrobatic jester-like beings called NiGHTS and Reala.
Are these images proof of a sequel to this game? Will we be able to use the Wiimote and nunchuck to fly around? Perhaps our questions will all be answered when we get our hands on the latest issue of ONM. Until then, if any of you can confirm or deny what these images mean, feel free to help out the Wii community by letting others know what’s going on.
