Rumored Microsoft E3 ’09 lineup leaked: includes big MGS4 finale?
Rumors and leaks are running rampant once again on Twitter. It looks like someone’s feeling generous with Microsoft‘s planned E3 2009 line-up. The big MS has surely been rather tight-lipped about game announcements this year, and while we could expect certain few games to pop up in E3 (Alan Wake pls!), there’s one sore thumb sticking out for PS3 fanboys and it goes by the acronym of MGS.

The big MS has surely been rather tight-lipped about game announcements this year, and while we could expect certain few games to pop up in E3 (Alan Wake pls!), there’s one sore thumb sticking out for PS3 fanboys and it goes by the acronym of MGS.
Taken from one GameFork’s tweeting over the past couple days, here are the big things Microsoft will be dropping during the event:
- Xbox Fluid – the new 360 motion-sensing camera
- Splinter Cell: Conviction
- Halo ODST
- Alan Wake
- APB
- GTA4: BAAFLC
- “Richter”
- Assassin’s Creed 2
- Lost Planet 2
- Metal Gear Solid 4 + Oxide
Yes, that last bit’s intriguing – what is it? Well, whatever it is, GameFork insists it’s going to be MS’ press-con finale. They’re making such a big deal out of it even that they’ve cut down some time for other games:
For the questions about MGS+O being show finale: Konami will announce a 360 exclusive (NOBODY outside of Kon has been told what this is). After that they announce MGS4+O as a 360 exclusive. MS have also cut LostPlan2, AssCreed2, Bioshock 2, GTA.BAAFLC, to 3 min slots.
There’s also that “Richter” game, which seems to be Peter Molyneux‘s latest game – the one that may-or-may-not-be Fable 3. And that APB (which I believe is the so-called All Points Bulletin, revealed ages ago) is something GameFork insists could potentially be a GTA-killer. Speaking of GTA, there’s that GTA:BAAFLC, which I think could be the next DLC.
Quite a big beefy batch of rumors… it’s so absurd, it’s actually amazing someone could have such an imagination. Which leaves us with that one question: if it’s too far out beyond imagination, could there actually be truth behind it?
Remember, folks! Microsoft’s press conference is on June 1! Let’s see if we can hear some response from MS about this leaked lineup before then.
