S.T.A.L.K.E.R. “What Lies Within” trailer
Here’s a new trailer for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl. The FPS from Ukranian game developer GSC Game World and publisher THQ is expected to be out this March for the PC (the game has been repeatedly postponed, but the official news from GSC Game World sets the date for the first quarter of 2007).
The game is set in the area around Chernobyl, where a second nuclear disaster has created mutations and creepy stuff in the area around the power plant, the Zone. You play a Stalker, the kind of person who goes into the Zone while the rest of the world sensibly stay out. As a Stalker in the Zone, you can expect lots of spooky stuff and heart-pumping moments.
It’s reported that the game will combine elements of FPS, adventure, and horror/survival games. It’s also reported that the game will have vehicles (we’d like to see more about that). The game also has a kind of RPG element in that you interact with more than 100 NPCs, and it’s said that your dialogue choices with the NPCs will change depending on your actions in the game.
