Grand Theft Auto 4 - Image 1 We have received assurance from Rockstar Games that they are working on the freezing problems of Grand Theft Auto 4 (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3). Sony Computer Entertainment of America (SCEA) is also working on the issue for their PlayStation 3 community but they have maintained that only a “limited number” has been struck with this problem. More details after the jump.

Grand Theft Auto 4 - Image 1Moments after Rockstar Games assured us that they are already working on the freezing issues for Grand Theft Auto 4 (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3), Sony Computer Entertainment of America (SCEA) gave their take on the problem.

SCEA has assured its PlayStation 3 population that they are teaming up with Rockstar Games to put an end to the problems. They maintain though that only a “limited number” of PS3 owners have been affected by this situation.

Here is the complete public statement from SCEA:

Yes, we are aware of what the message boards and a few of the industry blogs are saying about a ‘freezing’ issue with GTA IV on a limited number of PS3s. Although we have seen an extremely low volume of contacts to our customer service department regarding such an issue, we want to ensure that every consumer has a great experience on our console and with GTA IV. All parties involved are working to isolate the problem for those few units and identify a solution.

If problems are indeed limited for the PlayStation 3, does that mean most of the reports were from Microsoft Xbox 360 gamers? We really can’t tell. Whatever the case may be, stay tuned here at QJ.NET for the latest developments.
