SD Gundam Scad Hammers scans
This game has seen quite a few title changes. A few weeks ago we reported that Bandai Namco has changed the name of their Wii title SD Gundam G Breaker to SD Gundam Squad Hammers. The official Bandai Namco website has since been updated, and it now shows that the name of the game is now SD Gundam Scad Hammers. OK, now we have no idea what exactly a “Scad Hammer” is, but we think the name change is inconsequential, as nothing appears to have been changed apart from it. Just check out the new scans below to see what we mean.
Yep, looks like the gameplay’s still the same. Players will use both the Nunchuck and Wii controllers, and in order to run around you move the control stick. To switch between the giant mace (maybe that’s the Scad Hammer?) and a gun and blade combination (um, no, not a gunblade, though), you press the C button.
To use the mace, you swing around the remote control. You can also hold the B button to increase the length of the mace’s chain. If you ever find yourself in dire straits, as a kind of desperate measure you can just shake the nunchuck and your Gundam will charge your opponents. The Z button lets you jump and you can guard using the A button.
SD Gundam Scad Hammers is set to be a Wii launch title and will be released in Japan on December 12. North American release? Right now it’s pegged for sometime in 2007, but we’ll be sure to give you the latest updates once we get out hands on more info.
