New character artwork for Nintendo’s Super Mario Galaxy

With the release date for Shigeru Miyamoto‘s latest Super Mario masterpiece, Nintendo has released a few new pieces of character artwork for their upcoming game Super Mario Galaxy. Here we see detailed depictions of just some of the cast from the game.

In this set we have all the alternate costumes Mario will be able to utilize in the game, as well as the two princesses, one of whom Mario already is already quite familiar with (considering he keeps saving her constantly). Throw in your regular cast of Koopa family baddies and this definitely has the feel of an authentic Super Mario video game.

While most of these have already been depicted in previous magazine scans, these high definition images would make a perfect addition to any Super Mario fanboy’s image collection. Either way it’s a great way to appreciate the newest take of the Super Mario franchise.
