Second public test version of ScummVM Wii now available
A new version of dhewg‘s ScummVM Wii emulator has finally made its way to the homebrew scene. The second public test release of the program includes several helpful changes which increases the app’s overall performance. Developer dhewg has recently come up with the second test version of the ScummVM emulator for the Wii console. ScummVM is an emulator that allows you to run certain classic point-and-click adventure games and was released on several gaming platforms with the latest being the Wii.
The new build of the emulator was based off the svn revision 31370 and includes several helpful changes which increases the app’s overall performance. Here’s a list of all the additions that made it since our previous coverage of ScummVM Wii:
- screen is only updated if necessary
- no more flicker on the Beneath a Steel Sky intro
- better performance
- games with higher screen resolutions are now drawn correctly
- fixed some palette bugs
