Sega hypes Yakuza 3 and Valkyrie of the Battlefield with promo kits

Sega - Image 1Sega of Japan is planning a major promotional campaign to drum up support for upcoming Sony PlayStation 3 titles Yakuza 3 and Valkyrie of the Battlefield. The veteran publisher wants to launch these games on a high note and it plans to do just that with a handful of events and freebies. Go to the full article to read all about it.

Yakuza - Image 1Sega of Japan is drumming up some serious attention for its two upcoming releases in Japan. It’ll be giving away a total of 100,000 promo kits featuring Yakuza 3 and Valkyrie of the Battlefield.

Fans can acquire the goodies in two ways. The first can be done by ordering Sega products through the company’s official e-commerce site. The second is by attending its slated events in the following Japanese venues:

  • Games Maya Kasai – January 31
  • Yodobashi camera Shinjuku – February 2
  • Sakuraya Shinjuku East – February 2
  • Softmap Nanba – February 2
  • Yodobashi Camera Sapporo – February 9

The promo kit contains a booklet with exclusive art and details about both games. A DVD which has a double purpose is also included. When played in a standard DVD player, it’ll reveal trailers of Yakuza 3 and Valkyrie of the Battlefield. If played on the Sony PlayStation 3 or a PC, it will reveal lovely HD versions of the trailers some wallpapers.

Yakuza 3 is slated for its Japanese release come March 6. Valkyrie of the Battlefield will be unleashed on the 24th of April. Both titles are expected to perform well in the Japanese market.
