Sega madness: Sonic Spinball and Alex Kidd queued for VC?
While everyone’s bursting their opponents’ balloons in Mario Kart 64‘s Battle mode, some of you might be curious about what’s around the corner for the Virtual Console. An online search through the Australian Government’s Office of Film and Literature Classification (OFLC) – think of it as their kind of ESRB – can give you an idea though.
Sega‘s been really supportive of the retro gaming service for the Wii, and they’ve decided to add a couple more titles during this quarter of the year.
If you check the Via link below, you’ll see five games that have recently been given ratings by the OFLC. We’ve already learned of Sword of Vermilion, Streets of Rage, and Bio-Hazard Battle coming out in Japan, but what we haven’t heard from anyone else are two other titles: Sonic Spinball and Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle.
For now, we’re still notching this up as a rumor until we’ve gotten official word from Sega themselves. For now, just cross your fingers and wait…
