SEMA 2006: “Thanks PS3, for pimping our ride!”
Rapper Xzibit and the whole crew of MTV Pimp my Ride should be ashamed of themselves! Uh, actually they shouldn’t be because they are doing a good job. On the other hand they might want to give this extremely customized Scion xA a good look ’cause they might get some new and fresh ideas: a roof embellished with a 46″ widescreen TV, a 26″ TV in the rear hatch, and 13 additional monitors installed throughout the interior.
Do you know what really blew us away, though? All of these monitors are actually hooked up to a real and working PS3! Aside from that, the car can be controlled using a PlayStation 3 SIXAXIS – yep no steering wheels for this baby. You don’t believe us? Why don’t you click on the link below and see the video for yourselves?
The PS3-pimped Scion xA was spotted during at this year’s Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) in San Clemente California. As bedazzled as we are, we are having some few reservations though. We wonder if it’s safe to drive a real car with a console controller, regardless if the driver is a gamer extraordinaire. Also, putting the PS3 together with the engine might cause some overheating issues.
At any rate, it sure looks great. So thanks PS3, for pimping our ride!
