Showing You What Wii’ve Got: A Walkthrough For The Wii

Wii Love it!For those who can’t wait to get up close and personal with the Wii, we’ve got a treat for you. We have here a video where one of the people from Nintendo will walk you through the features of this lovely console.

Starting out with how strikingly small it is compared to other consoles, Erik Peterson, Localization Writer for Nintendo of America, then proceeds to show the rest of the machine’s features. Some of the notable features of the console is the slot provided for SD cards (most probably used in collaboration with the Wii’s Photo Channel), and the fact that the Wii also has GameCube slots which allows for backwards compatibility with the Nintendo GameCube. There are also two slots for memory cards. On top of all this, the Wii’s sensor bar is also featured, and Peterson attests to its sensitivity, and that you won’t have to worry about where to place this peripheral to better catch your movements with the Wiimote.

All in all, what’s so remarkable about this console is its simplicity as well as its sleekness, with all of those features in such a petite package. Though most argue that the Wii’s graphics system isn’t as powerful as the PS3’s or the Xbox 360’s, in the end, we’ll just have to see which console will gather the most followers. But can the Wii prove that joy comes in small packages? It’s all a waiting game at this point.

Watching this has just made us wish that November 19 was already tomorrow.
