Sierra, Red Fly, Terminal Reality to make Ghostbusters the Game
We recently reported to you that the legendary Ghostbusters film and cartoon franchise is on the comeback trail with an upcoming video game and movie due out next year. Sierra Entertainment has been chosen to oversee the Ghostbusters game publishing activities with Terminal Reality handling the development for the Sony PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360, and PC versions of the project.
We recently reported to you that the legendary Ghostbusters film and cartoon franchise is on the comeback trail with an upcoming video game and movie due out next year. After finalizing the development teams to handle the project, a timetable has been announced by those in charge.
Sierra Entertainment has been chosen to oversee the Ghostbusters game publishing activities with Terminal Reality handling the development for the Sony PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360, and PC versions of the project. Handling the Nintendo Wii and the Nintendo DS wings are Red Fly Studios, another Sierra partner.
Both development firms have years of development experience to their names. Terminal Reality is the team behind cult classic Nocturne for the PC and Metal Slug Anthology for the Nintendo Wii. Red Fly Studios has played a creative role in the Creepy Crawlies franchise.
Ghostbusters the Game places players in the boots of a new Ghostbuster team member who must step up in a time of crisis.New York City is once again gripped by dark creatures that only the wacky gang of paranormal experts can thwart. Further details haven’t been dropped, but Ghostbusters the Game is set for a Fall 2008 launch.We’ll keep you posted for more.
