Sigil partners with CGM to promote Vanguard

Computer Games Magazine has announced that it is partnering with game developer Sigil Games Online to give gamers the first preview of one of the most anticipated MMORPGs of the year, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes. CGM will publish an access code in its June 2006 issue that will allow gamers to play the beta version six months ahead of its official release at the end of the year..

Vanguard will be different than most MMO games. Instead of individual competition, Vanguard will offer more rewards for collaboration and group participation.

Part of the reasoning behind offering this preview is to get player feedback prior to general release. Jayson Dubin, Vice President and Publisher of Computer Games Magazine states,  “The role consumers play in game development has expanded greatly as developers like Sigil count on feedback to create the final design and implementation for many games coming to the market, including Vanguard.”
