Smash Bros. Brawl Updates
Masahiro Sakurai has updated the Japanese website for Super Smash Bros. Brawl yet again. Here is what we’ve learned from the updates since we last left off:
- He said “Asking only for popular characters to appear in Smash… doesn’t get me excited”, which means we should be seeing more niche characters as well. Go go Balloon Fighter! I love that game. If you have Animal Crossing for the GCN, get it and play it (it’s an NES game).
- There might be Easter eggs that utilize the WiiMote. Kind of like how if you press on the D-Pad with the correct inputs using Fox or Falco on Corneria, Slippy and Pepper appear.
- Snake will be using explosives like grenades and rocket launchers. His pistol and survival knife will not be used. Sakurai says that in Japan, there isn’t much difference between a survival knife and sword, but it differs in other countries. Basically, they want an E10 rating from the ESRB, not T.
- If what we understand is right, MetaKnight will have a rock version of the Kirby Victory Theme! Kirby has always had the most kickass themes…
- The voice actor for Pit is the one who did the voice for Conan in the anime Detective Conan.
