The official website for Super Smash Bros. Brawl has been updated with a character biography for Solid Snake of Metal Gear fame.

Snake? Snake! SNAAAAAAAKE! The unexpected participant from Metal Gear Solid! When this was first announced to the media, it was greeted with shouts of joy that resembled screams. After much consideration, we decided to have Snake refrain from using real-world guns—instead, he’ll use lots of explosives. What kinds of attacks will Snake unleash when he steps onto a new stage? You’ll have to wait and see.

The screenshots reveal one of the Metal Gear themed stages that will be in the game. The screenshot to the right of that shows Snake jumping which looks kind of odd. Can you image Snake doing a double jump or a wavedash? Picture it, it’ll be awesome in your head. The new information also reveals that he won’t be using real world guns, but explosives. Maybe he can use the mines that appear as items without having to grab an item? That’d be pretty awesome. Stay with QJ for some of the quickest Smash Bros. updates on the net!
