Sony Ericcson adds PTT to Z520

Sony Ericcson announced today the Z525, an update to their Z520 will add a push to talk (PTT) feature to the mobile phone. Other than that both phones are pretty much identical. The company didn’t mention the type of PTT technology. However, the Z520 is selling pretty well through Cingular and Cingular uses Kodiak’s PTT technology and Sony Ericcson did license the use of Kodiak’s technology last year. The Z525 is expected to hit the shelves later on this year. The Z525 is a quad band phone that allows access to GSM around the world. The handset also features Bluetooth technology, a VGA camera, and other messaging capabilities.
