Sony: Japan-specific PS3 firmware update v2.43 now out

Sony has decided to give everyone a heads up in the direction of their respective PlayStation 3 consoles. A new firmware update was just released (version 2.43), although it has been noted to be specific to the Japan.
While those in the said region will be the only ones prompted to update their firmware, this shouldn’t cause any issues for those users outside of Japan who choose to install the new firmware. You can manually update your system by choosing the “System Update” option found under the XMB‘s Settings icon.
