Sony: PS Home is not our business priority right now
Peter Edward, Sony PS Home’s Director, has revealed (probably more than he wanted to) Sony’s plans for the PlayStation Home. The plan: to not make it their priority. For consolation, he adds: “But there’s a proven market for it.”
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think I just spotted a contradiction in this statement right here: “It’s been a long road. We’ve proved there is a market out there and we’ve got a lot of people that spend a lot of time in [Home]. It’s not a priority right now but there is a business model there.”
That would be Peter Edward, Home director, at the London Games Conference talking about their uber-hyped PlayStation Home. There’s a market there, but it’s not their priority? Funny, and here we were thinking that all these past months they were building it up for something greater.
I don’t know. I just find it rather uncharacteristic of Sony to not take full advantage of a market (seven million in the first seven months, they said) that’s supposedly booming, wouldn’t you agree?
Care to elaborate on that, Mr. Edwards?
Thanks to Tim H. for the tip!
