Peter Dille, Sony senior vice president of marketing - Image 1The Sony PlayStation 3 is going to have a great holiday season, says Sony senior vice president of marketing Peter Dille. Even with PlayStation Home and LittleBigPlanet out the 2008 window, Dille wants to spread the word: “we have a fantastic line-up of PS3 games this holiday.” Dille realizes that the competition offers other attractive things, but the PS3 is the way to go for “the most technologically advanced gaming system.”

In an interview with Game Informer, Dille stressed out that the PS3 “will stand the test of time for the next 10 years.” If the sound of that and free online gaming float your boat, the Sony marketing VP says their console is “a perfect choice.”

According to Dille, not only does the PS3 have “technical horsepower that you just wonÂ’t find anywhere else,” but also over 160 games with 19 exclusives. As time goes by, he also believes developers “will get acquainted with next-generation technology and a new development platform.” For us, that means more games on the PS3.

Aside from cutting-edge gaming, Dille is expecting other PlayStation brands to make gamers happy. He mentioned the strong run of the PlayStation 2, and the PlayStation Portable’s success which skyrocketed after PSP Slim & Lite’s release.
