Speculative WoW fans guess what’s next for WoW

The Burning CrusadeWhat’s next for WoW? Yes, it’s the big question in the minds of WoW‘s most avid (and speculative) of fans. It seems that even on the eve of the launch of World of Warcraft‘s latest expansion, the Burning Crusade, World of Warcraft fans from Europe are coughing up their own ideas of what’s in store for Blizzard‘s successor to BC in the forums.

Right now they’ve got quite a brainstorm going on and have come up with pretty interesting titles (can you say Frozen Crusade?). There are also some desires for sea faring features and unlocked locations (Northrend anyone?) and even some undesired expansion ideas that include the Emerald Dream.

Blizzard hopes to release a new expansion pack every 12 months. But considering Blizzard’s reputation for deadlines, we’d expect that to end up every 18 months. There’s a lot of talk surrounding a Maelstrom and an Uldum expansion pack, aside from the more common speculation of a Northrend expansion pack. There’s mixed hopes among players that the Emerald Dream map would finally come out, and certain maps such as Gilneas and Kul’Tiras would finally be accessible to avid fans of the Warcraft franchise.

But we’ll just have to wait and see what Blizzard is cooking up in the kitchen (hmm…smells like Frostwyrm).
