SSBB sales hits 700,000; expects to hit million in second week out
Wii Fit was a phenomenal hit – breaking the one million mark in sales in little over a month after its release in Japan. But Super Smash Bros. Brawl might do even better. The game has already sold 700,000 copies in Japan in its first four days of release alone. It won’t be surprising if it hits the million mark by next week. More in the full article.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl has only recently been released in Japan but it’s already reached 700,000 in unit sales. And that’s only in the four days since its release. This according to early sales data from Mantan Web.
With such strong opening sales figures, it won’t be surprising if the game hits a million in its second week out. Even Wii Fit took a month to reach the million-in-sales mark, so that’s saying something.
Mantan Web columnist Taketo Matsuo expects Super Smash Bros. Brawl to top the million sales mark by this week. It would be interesting to see how those numbers would do once the game is released in other regions.
