Stargate Worlds: concept art for the Ancient Planet
Cheyenne Mountain has released the first concept art for Stargate Worlds‘ Ancient Planet, the most advanced race that exists in the Stargate universe. The race that built that Stargates have settled on a beautifully malicious planet whose skies are filled with plasma and electrical discharges while the ground is spiked with crystal formations.
The landscape is dotted with the structures of the Ancient; magnificent interconnected spires and buildings that connect like mazes or beehives. Stargate Worlds‘ art director Howard Lyon talks about the concept art for the game:
One of the great things about working on Stargate Worlds is that there is so much rich material to draw up creatively. This painting was a great example of that. We were able to build upon the strong foundation of the Ancient architecture to add a great amount of depth to a location unique to Stargate Worlds.
