Strategy First to be Making History’s publisher
Developer Muzzy Lane Software Inc. has now found a partner for its World War II PC game Making History: The Calm & the Storm. Silverstar Holdings, Ltd.’s subsidiary, Strategy First Inc., has announced today that it has come to terms with Muzzy to be the game’s publisher.
Says Strategy First prez, Don McFatridge, “World War II is a hot category for games, and what we wanted was something new and different.” And it won’t be your typical strategy-game stereotype. The graphics, interface and underpinning game behavior will make sure of that. The game gives players the opportunity to control the outcome of events in global conflict, along with sophisticated AI and rich historical detail.
What sets it apart as well is that it pushes the players to not just achieve military success, but more importantly, economic and diplomatic victory. How easy will it be to modify the game? Well, the content is written in XML, so that pretty much seals the deal right there. “All of our experience tells us it’s a winner,” says McFatridge.
Meanwhile, Muzzy Lane head Dave McCool says they are very pleased to be working with Strategy First Inc., which he calls to be “the premier publisher of top-selling strategy games.” Keep your eyes peeled out for this game. We have a feeling it’s gonna be a real blast.
