Super Monkey Ball Adventure Screenshots and Interview

IGN had a sit down with Sega producer Mary Caplan to peel back the banana of what is Super Monkey Ball Adventure for PSP, and to let everyone know what it’s all about. In the interview they go over the general basic questions of multiplayer, gameplay, how many characters will be playable, and just how the development is really going. SMBA has been in development for 18 months with a work load of 50 people working on the project off and on. The story mode is pretty basic-something about the main monkey falling in love with another monkey. There is the bad monkey who casts darkness over the world to separate the two and it’s your job to bring happiness back to the world. On terms of gameplay, SMBA will have you moving the ball around with the analog stick but only one world, Spirit Realm, will you be able to control the actual ground’s tilting. Remember this is an adventure so you’re going to be controlling the ball more than the ground. Throughout the interview they talk about having 50 playable characters, a party mode for up to four players, and the five worlds you’ll be exploring in.
