Super Smash Bros. Brawl update: say hello to Snake in Shadow Moses Island
It’s time once again for a Super Smash Bros. Brawl update, and this time we’ll get to visit Snake’s home base, Shadow Moses Island.
It’s a good thing that Snake isn’t just haphazardly pasted into this game. As we can see in the previous article about Snake, Nintendo managed to import almost everything there is to love about the Metal Gear Solid series into Smash Bros, and we’re more than happy for it.
Case in point: Shadow Moses Island, which looks almost exactly as it was in Metal Gear Solid for the PS One. Oh, and say hello to Metal Gear Rex and Metal Gear Ray, who’ll be watching the Brawl and cheer the Brawlers on with their gigantic metal frames.
Remember the hilarious “!” sign? It also makes an appearance in Brawl, which will pop up on unsuspecting Brawler’s heads once the searchlight spots them.
Snake even managed to bring his Codec along; in Brawl, Snake will be able to communicate with his back-up team (Mei Ling, Otacon, Campbell) to get helpful tips on how he can deal with his opponents. Or rather, provide the audience with some of Snake’s hilarious comments about his opponents.
We certainly can’t wait for Brawl. But until it’s release, we’ll make the wait easier for you with frequent updates. More updates to come!
