Super Smash Bros. Brawl update: Sonic’s super fast special moves
Well, if people are still doubting whether or not our lovable speedy hedgehog will be included in Nintendo’s upcoming brawler, then doubt no more. If anything, knowing the ragtag roster of characters they already have for the game, Sonic fits right in with the rest of the Brawl crew. Anyway, we have more good news as we unveil some of the Sonic’s special moves in Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii.
Anybody who’s played the original Sonic the Hedgehog game on the Sega Genesis will remember that everything works all with just one button. So it’s no surprise that Sonic’s special moves are kept pretty simple as well.
As a Side Special Move, just press the button repeatedly to rev yourself up, then release to throw a speedy blue ball of death at your opponent. What’s more, you can even do this consecutively while you’re in midair. We’d like to see Mario try and dodge this.
Also, you might remember the handy spring jump device littering the world of the original Sonic game. Well, our friendly hedgehog can actually drop one of these on the ground and use it to put a little boost in his jump. Watch out, though – there’s nothing stopping the other characters from using your spring either.
All in all, Sonic is everything that he ever was brought to life onto the next gen console. We’re wondering, however, what his Final Smash move will be (Knuckles, anyone?). Until we get more updates from Smash Bros. DOJO, keep yourselves posted for more updates as we get them.
