Nobody has to be left out while your friends are beating themselves senseless playing Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The developers from Sora Ltd. have included an awesome new game mode to let everyone enjoy the game.

The new Spectator mode allows gamers to remotely view any match played on Wii consoles linked up to Nintendo’s Wi-Fi Connection. It’s pretty much like watching a televised pay per view match minus the cable bill.

And to make things a little more interesting, you can even bet on the winner of the match you’re watching before the actual brawling begins. Just select the number of gold coins you’re willing to ante up and pick your favorite. If you’re bet wins the match you get a payout depending on the number of combatants in the match. Even if your racehorse doesn’t win, you still get some nifty little stickers to add to your album as a consolation prize.

You can actively toggle the Spectator settings through the Wi-Fi Options to allow whether or not people can view your matches online. Either way, match selections are handled automatically, and no names of any players are revealed through this game mode. So go ahead and feel free to watch a couple of matches, you just might learn a thing or two.

As always, the game never fails to reveal something interesting with every update. Gamers in North America still have a bit of a wait until Super Smash Bros. Brawl reaches them this February 10. In the meantime, you can check out some of the screenshots we have on this great game.
