Superman Returns Videogame Trailer

The Man of Steel is back! Electronic Art’s Tiburon Studios (yes the Madden guys) are bringing the city of Metropolis to life in this epic action adventure game based on the upcoming summer blockbuster from director Bryan Singer and Warner Bros. Studios. The trailer shows a huge kryptonite powered Metallo laying waste to the city of Metropolis, while a pissed off Superman does his best to keep the city’s inhabitants safe from harm. The developers have implemented a unique gameplay mechanic whereby the player never actually dies per se, but you can fail missions if and when the city of Metropolis sustains too much collateral damage. You’ll have all of Supe’s powers as well, heat, x-ray and telescopic vision, super strength and speed (up to 800Mph!), no word yet on whether you’ll be able to use the cellophane “S” though. Looks like this could be the first Superman based game to not suck!  *remembers Superman 64 (shudder).
