Takeuchi: Lost Planet Is An Xbox 360 Exclusive
Capcom producer Jun Takeuchi said its upcoming title Lost Planet: Extreme Condition will remain exclusive to Xbox 360. This puts the rumor that it will also be released on PS3 in a box six feet under. The rumor started from the recently held Leipzig Games Convention.
In an interview, Jun Takeuchi said their team focuses development of the title on a single platform. “For Lost Planet that platform is the Xbox 360. We have no plans at this time of porting to or developing for another console as this would potentially dilute the final product.”
This early the sci-fi action shooter set on an icy planet full of nasty creatures has been getting positive feedback. “We are pleased with the response the demo has received. More than 550,000 Lost Planet demos have been downloaded and as IÂ’ve been reading the forums, the reactions have been overwhelmingly positive, “ says Takeuchi.
Lost Planet: Extreme Condition is set to be released globally in January 2007.
