Team17 speaks on status of Worms HD
In case you haven’t been paying attention, we’ll repeat it for you gladly: Worms HD is coming to XBLA! This certainly is a good news for everyone who love those little, pink, and heavily-armed cuties who never hesitated to bomb away in our PC screens way back then. While this is anticipated, it is a puzzle why Microsoft is still not releasing it.
Yesterday’s scoop may have came from a dubious website called Dream17, but what we have for you this time is definitely official. Martyn “Spadge” Brown posted on Team 17‘s own forum that “The game is in final certification stages by the way, yes it’s pretty much all finished apart from any last bugs they find. MS has a schedule of releases and we’ll soon find out how we fit into that.” Brown is the Creative and Studio Director of Team17 in U.K.
Also, based from the reports, Worms HD is not to come out before the end of this year. Regardless, it’s always good to hear that plans are pushing forward and we are all going to be able to enjoy classic entertainment very soon. On a hopeful note, Brown closed his post by saying that “Plans for announcements are being discussed with MS next week, hold tight.”
