Ten Thousand PS3 Kits Shipped to Developers
This is the official statement made by Ryan Bowling, SCEA‘s PR Manager, which also confirms what Kaz Hirai said at E3. The announced development kit numbers sent out to developers and companies (totaling 208) is really impressive. At present, SCEA has shipped 10,000 dev systems, but some gamers are complaining they aren’t seeing that many games being developed for the PS3.
Or maybe word of games still being developed for Sony‘s next-gen console still hasn’t reached them yet. Expect that with the number of dev systems being shipped, there will be a lot of developers out there creating the most interesting games, and most of these developers are in Japan. Now this brings us to the next point – maybe these new titles and new game types we haven’t seen yet will be shown at the Tokyo Game Show in September.
So keep your eyes (and ears) open for the latest news on what games will be added to the list of upcoming PS3 games.
