Test Drive Unlimited: Cadillac XLR-V and Ducati SuperSport 1000 DS (Xbox 360) Videos

test driveAtari‘s feeling rather generous today, releasing short clips of Test Drive Unlimited in all its glorious action. And since giving is always better than receiving, we’re passing them on to you readers. Before, we gave you standstill foretastes of exotics like the Farboud, Maserati, Viper, Cobra, and Lotus (among lots of others). Today, feast your eyes on the Cadillac XLR-V upgunned luxury roadster and Ducati SuperSport 1000 DS running through the virtual streets of Oahu.

Seeing this Cadillac growl through the Oahu afternoon brings the phrase “Sunday driving” to mind. The original XLR packed luxury behind the wheel and performance under the hood in one package, comparable to the Bimmer 6-series or the Benz SL. The -V upgrade bumps the horses up from the original 320hp to around 443hp from a supercharged V8. The real car will do 60mph from standstill in around 4.7 seconds (from Car and Driver tests), so you can turn that virtual Sunday drive into a tire-scorching run should you run afoul of the law – which is what happens towards the end of this clip when the XLR-V nearly clips an SUV’s fender off.

If you prefer your horsepower raw, up close, and personal, then there’s the Ducati SuperSport 1000 DS. Just seeing this in the show room – even a virtual one – makes any motorhead hunger to feel that power in his hands. Packing a 992cc 95hp engine between its wheels, the following clip displays this speed demon slipping through traffic (both same-way and oncoming) and weaving through curves and corners. And take-off and high-speed wheelies, as though the driver’s showing off at passing cars. Over and over and over again. “Hey, ‘ya lame four-wheelers, I bet you can’t do this!” Man, those Italians really know how to inject passion into motorsports.

While the game’s set for both the PSP and Xbox 360, the videos featured below look like they belong to the Xbox version. Both cars will be available in Test Drive Unlimited‘s initial release.
