Test Drive Unlimited’s Planned Patch and Free Content
Ataris’ sticking to its word that they would be aggressively pursuing the online aspect of Test Drive Unlimited (TDU). Not only have they actually lowered the game price by about $20 compared to other games in Xbox 360’s library (TDU is priced at $39.99), the first wave of downloadable content is now on its way to the market.
Starting this week, the Audi RS4 Quattro and the Nissan Skyline GT-R34 will be rolling on to the marketplace… FOR FREE. Yup, you read it right! Gamers won’t have to shell out a single dime to drive newly-added cars in the TDU auto library. In addition to this wonderful news, Atari is also utilizing Xbox Live in order to deliver patches for the game. Their focus is on the game’s online quibbles. They’re also on to some changes, such as dealing with the problem of progression being lost, issues with CLUBS, connections issues, finding friends, and problems regarding Drive-ins.
It sure looks like TDU is bent on winning this race, and we’re more than happy to jump in for the ride.
