The Bathtub That Shape-Shifts

Well Sony engineer Tetsujiro Kondo has a solution for you with his new design for a shape shifting bathtub.

The walls of the bath would be made of very durable flexible polymer with elastic cushioning panels behind them. Then there are electrically controlled pressure rams that will give the interior bath its shape. So when you want to soak in the tub you can use the bath mount controller to adjust the rams which will adjust your comfort.

Also since you will be adjusting the height and width you don’t want the water to overflow while adjusting from a wider to narrow shape so there will be a water level sensor to only allow the tub to adjust to the shapes that can safely contain the water.
