The Eye of Judgement updates: free card giveaways, details of next update

With the release of the recent expansion pack for The Eye of Judgment, TCG fans have something to look forward to as SCEA will be giving out free swag for this week’s Free Card Friday promo, including some very rare Set 2 expansion cards. In addition, the EOJ team has recently announced the details of its upcoming network update for the game. Find out more about all of this in our full article after the jump.

Trading Card Game (TCG) fans get ready to heat up those PlayStation Eyes because Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) is ready to give out some free swag for its premiere TCG strategy title for the PlayStation 3, The Eye of Judgment.

Mark Valledor, Marketing Manager of SCEA, announced that some very rare Set 2 expansion cards for the game will be given out through exclusive promotional channels. The first 500 entries from North America and Canada to sign up will receive the cards which can be used in The Eye of Judgement.

The link leading to the sign up page can be found on the source link we’ve provided below. However, only those ages 13 and above can sign up since the game has a Teen rating.

In addition, the details for the new network update version 02.01 has finally been revealed. The EOJ team has been working hard to address the various concerns players have been sending them regarding some of the glitches and errata in the game.

Here are the details of the new update according to the statement released by the EOJ team:

• An additional feature of Battle AnimationÂ’s detail settings
• If you own the Set 2 Expansion pack, the next update will add a feature to the Battle AnimationÂ’s detail settings (SELECT button during a replay), which is currently implemented to “Show replay” mode, to the duels on Battle Arena mode. This addition allows players to set more detailed Battle Animation settings, such as “OFF ([R2] ON)”, “Ultra rare+”, or “Singles Only”, etcÂ… in Battle Arena mode. (This update only applies if you own the Set 2 expansion pack download)
• Errata notes to some of the SET.2 cards
• In order to improve the quality of duels, a modification to some of the creaturesÂ’ abilities will be made. The modification will improve the game play experience for EOJ players. The adjustments are planned for the following 5 creature cards: Noram Zealot (#121), Aluhja Zealot (#137), Visvar Vaas Zealot (#154), Tolicore Zealot (#169), and Biolith Battleship (#184). More detailed information on the adjustments would be released through Errata notes on our EOJ forums and Official Community Sites as soon as the modifications are finalized.
• Additional feature for intentional disconnections in Online mode
• An extra measure which disturbs online play will be added. When a player disconnects in any way during an online duel, in addition to the current system that imposes a penalty on the player who intentionally disconnected, the new system will grant Honor and Rank points to their opponent whose duel was disconnected against their will.
