The first Opoona footage

Somehow, we never expected the essence of tragic loss to come out in a six-minute trailer for a cute RPG game. Again, we were mistaken, as Koei and ArtePiazza‘s Opoona manages to squeeze in that little tidbit in their very first video footage of the game.

Now, we have it in two flavors for you. On the one hand, you can view the trailer as part of a YouTube embed made by mooboodk, which seems to come straight from a Japanese TV show. You can imagine this from the fact that it’s covering what seems to be the launch event itself, complete with speakers and the interspersing of game video with the announcement.

On the other hand, Kotaku notes that there’s finally videogame footage on the Opoona website.
