The Gangs Of Saints Row Spice Up Your Neighborhood

We’ve all seen in movies just how dirty territory-grabbing can be amongst gangs. It is a battle of pride, a gamble for life or death. It is one heck of a drama that unfolds daily and we wouldn’t really wish to be caught in the middle of it.

Then again, maybe not.

The new offering for Xbox 360, Saints Row, deals with this particular “territory-grabbing among gangs” theme, setting the player as a member of the Third Street Saints. But they ain’t holy at all. They are actually a gang trying to desperately take back the streets from three rival gangs that hold the Stilwater city. Leading the 3rd Street Saints is the charismatic Julius Little, who has fought his way up the Row’s gang ladder even before he hit his adolescence.

Los Carnales is one of the gangs that you would have to go up against in order to secure the city as your gang’s territory. Headed by “Kimo” (birthname: Hector Lopez), the Carnales Gang takes great pride in its being as old as the city itself. Closely associated with major Colombian cartels, they have succeeded in monopolizing the Stilwater drug trade.

The Vice Kings, as rumors would have it, have the top Stilwater officials on their payroll. That is probably true, too, for they get away with raking in millions from prostitution and extortion, though they have some quasi-legit operations like “Kingdom Come” records. It is considered to be the most powerful gang in Stilwater, spearheaded by “consummate businessman” Benjamin King. He is more popularly known as “Mr. King”.

Third, but definitely not the least of the three rival gangs, is the West Side Rollerz. They are famous for being reckless and disorganized, with an irrepressible lust for fast rides. Unsurprisingly, they head Stilwater’s illegal street-racing circuit. One of its members, Donny, is in fact the expert mechanic of West Side.

So if you’re up for the drama, get ready for the invasion of the gangs of Stilwater. But remember, it ain’t gonna be pretty.
