Tomb Raider Anniversary on its way to PSP
Time flies when you’re whooping ass! Can’t believe it’s been 10 years since Lara Croft, the first lady of video games, has conquered the virtual world. In honor of her staying power, Eidos has officially announced Tomb Raider Anniversary (formerly known as Tomb Raider: 10th Anniversary Edition) is definitely on its way to the PSP, PS2, and PC.
The upcoming game is being developed by Crystal Dynamics, the same team behind Lara Croft: Tomb Raider Legend on Xbox 360, PSP, and the upcoming DS version. The franchise has sold over 30 million copies – a world record.
Details of Tomb Raider Anniversary (including the release date) is still hush-hush but the new game is said to be a celebration of Lara Croft and the history of the Tomb Raider franchise. “Our ’10th Anniversary Edition’ of Tomb Raider…will appeal not only to the loyal fans of the Tomb Raider series but will also attract a totally new audience,” said Eidos. That’s good enough for us and the 30 million plus Croft fans out there
