PLAY Magazine has confirmed the title of the next Lara Croft game, Tomb Raider Underworld, and describes the game as “pure woman versus wild.”
Tomb Raider Underworld will be taking place after the events of Tomb Raider Legend and now features full motion capture for our favorite gun-toting heroine.
Crystal Dynamics says that the full motion capture “brings a more natural fluidity to her movements, with proper weight and secondary motion.” The game’s engine will also be sporting a new hybrid lighting model to make the environment more realistic.
Lara Croft will once again be played by Keeley Hawes. This time around Lara will be solving the secrets of the Mayan calendar. She has to figure out the mystery of the five missing days in the calendar, the time when our world and the Underworld come together.
Tomb Raider Underworld is expected to hit the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3, and the PC sometime next year.
