Turbine announces LotRO Loading Screen Contest

Turbine has announced a new contest where The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar players can show off some of their creativity and sense of artistic detail. Or something like that. Anyway, in this new contest, players can take screenshots of their favorite locations in the game and submit them in the hopes of bagging the honors of being the next new LotRO loading screen screenshot-taker. Entering contests is fun, even when the prize is just bragging rights. Well, Turbine has another new contest lined up for fans of The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar, and while this contest won’t net you any in-game items or swag and whatnot, it could lead to your favorite in-game picture becoming the new loading screen in the game.

The LotRO loading screen contest is open to registered players who are legal U.S. residents age 18 or above. If you meet that primary requirement, all you have to do to join is take a screenshot while you’re playing the game and submit it to [email protected] with the subject line LOTRO Loading Screen Contest.

Each player can only submit one entry per week. All screenshots should also be unedited. Cropping is fine, though. The final screen will be 1024 x 512, so keep this figure in mind when you’re composing or cropping your shots.
