Two new Halo novels confirmed after “Ghosts of Onyx”

Ghosts of OnyxPlaying video games and reading books? Some of you might even be appalled by such an idea. When the latest novel in the Halo universe was announced, hm had said, “Who would buy that? Everyone in public would laugh at you!!! And you would never get laid!! (Or if you did, it would be by the ugliest, Fattest chicks EVER!)” Ooh, harsh. While I could disagree (whole-heartedly and quite vehemently, in fact), he’s still entitled to voice out his thoughts.

Moving on…

For the QJ readers who ARE readers as am I, here’s a little heads up from Bungie. When “Ghosts of Onyx” was released a few days ago, author Eric Nylund had confirmed that there are going to be at least two new novels on the way after this latest one. While this current release ties up some of the lose threads in other Halo books by revealing events before, during, and after Halo 2, the next two novels will further expand the fandom.

What with Halo 3 coming, some of the loyal readers of the novels might see connections and certain plot elements tying both books and video games together. If not… you can always resort to spoilers at Wikipedia. (Master Chief might be disappointed with you though.)
