UbiSoft’s Jam Sessions rock onto Nintendo DS this summer
Ubisoft has announced that Jam Sessions will be launched in EMEA territories this summer. To give you an idea on what the game is about, the recent press release has branded the game as a “groundbreaking music title exclusively for the Nintendo DS”.
The game simulates strumming on the touch screen of the DS. It has been said that “an authentic sound digitally remastered from an actual acoustic guitar” will be the end result of your efforts. Three modes of gameplay have been confirmed: Performance, Free-Play, and Tutorial Mode. The game also grants players the ability to record their compositions which should be great for musicians or frustrated musicians (such as myself).
John Parks, the EMEA Marketing Director, spoke on the game and what it has to offer to gamers everywhere.
Jam Sessions is an amazing title with limitless potential to entertain and engage a wide audience of people who love music, guitar and singing. Basically, itÂ’s a guitar in your pocket but thatÂ’s just the beginning. ItÂ’s a chance for people who have never thought of themselves as “musically inclined” to jump right in and play through entire songs, compose their own music and sing along with friends.
Jam Sessions looks to be a really promising game. If it delivers what it promises, then a lot of DS owners will probably be leaving their guitars at home. Be sure to check out the screenshots of the game to see if it merits your attention.
