Uhh… “Xbox 360 Ultimate,” anyone?
We all know how serious a lot of you are about this generation’s console cycle, and this blogger was personally shocked when he heard of a little contraption called the Xbox 360 Ultimate. Upon reading the post in Neogaf where the rumor originated, however, it seemed doubtful that there was fire beneath the smoke.
It was a little tough deciding whether to blog about this one or not due to the nature of the content, but I thought some of you will see it as comic relief in the very list. You can read the post in the read link below.
The information that an Xbox 360 Ultimate will be out in the future allegedly came from a GameStop employee who says that the new package has both an HDMI port and an HD-DVD drive to enable it to compete with the Sony PlayStation 3 and Blu-ray.
When asked what about all the people who bought earlier versions of the Xbox 360, the GameStop employee said they’ll be fine and that “the HD-DVD drive just makes it more HD.”
Unfortunately, the GameStop employee also stated a few things that some of you may find flimsy and cause you to doubt his knowledge of what he’s talking about. In any case, just see the read link and tell us what you think. It isn’t the world’s most credible news, but it sure kills time if you’re bored.
