UK to get new event in lieu of X07

It was announced the other day that Microsoft will not be holding its annual event “X0 Show” this year. This has been the second time the event was cancelled ever since it was introduced back in 2001.

X0 is quite important to the Xbox 360 community especially in Europe as this has been the place where the latest developments are announced. Despite that, one Microsoft UK representative mentioned that they are planning to stage a similar event that should somehow replace X0 for this year.

More importantly, the spokesperson clarified that this is going to be for UK alone and not the whole of Europe.  He explained, “X07 is not going ahead. We’re looking at doing something here in the UK. It will be from a UK point of view, not from a European point of view”.

The Microsoft representative mentioned as well that the date of the new event is still to be clarified but it should push through before this year’s Christmas.
