A blog post on the official Valkyria Chronicles blog has confirmed that Valkyria Chronicles 2 for the PSP will indeed have adhoc multiplayer. Exact details regarding the game’s multiplayer modes will be revealed later according to executive producer Shuntaro Tanaka.

The same blog post also contained some screenshots and artwork from the game. Sega has said that the Canvas engine is still being used for this sequel, but of course there’s a graphical drop compared to the PS3 original. It still looks nice, just not as nice.

Valkyria Chronicles 2 will be out in Japan this winter as Senjou no Valkyria 2 Gallia Royal Academy. So far we haven’t got any word about an overseas release yet. If you happen to know Japanese you can check out the game’s official website as well.
