VC Japan: Castlevania X and other classic titles to hit this April
To make up for last month’s rather sparse Virtual Console selection, Nintendo Japan has released a wider variety of old-school titles for the month of April. In the forefront of the VC scene is Konami’s Castlevania X (a.k.a. Castlevania: Blood of Rondo), along with several other notable titles. You can check out the entire list of previewed VC games in our full article.
Just because Nintendo has recently rolled out WiiWare as its forerunning online service in Japan, it doesn’t mean that the company will be neglecting its usual Virtual Console updates for those who enjoy playing classic titles on their console.
The official Nintendo Japan website has already listed its upcoming titles for April, with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, Sky Kid, Musha Aleste and several other old-school games ready to be released this coming April 1.
Perhaps the biggest title to hit VC Japan will be the return of the all-time favorite, Castlevania X (a.k.a. Castlevania X: Rondo of Blood). It’s arrival definitely beats the premium players had to pay just to get last year’s Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles on the PlayStation Portable, which was packed with the once Japan-exclusive retro classic.
