Video: Red Steel 2 trailer
Wow. I knew Ubisoft was pulling out all the stops for Red Steel 2 but I didn’t think it would look this good. Never mind the vid’s live action parts (guy looks like Jeremy Piven after he’s been stretched on the rack). Just check out the short but sweet gameplay.

Then again, it’s a trailer, and trailers are meant to sell games. I’ll have to wait and see more gameplay footage from this title before I’m sold. The instant gun-to-sword switching is pretty cool though. I also like the part where the guy was just twirling his sword. If the game’s motion controls are really that good then this should be awesome.
And by the way, I have no idea why it says “Destination PlayStation” at the start. That did get me thinking about how this game would look like if it was done using the Scimitar engine though.. That’d be sweet.
Red Steel 2 is slated for release later this year.
