It’s a Nintendo Holiday this Christmas, according to Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime. The NOA boss has recently gone on the air on FBN to discuss several company matters, including Nintendo’s Wii production rates, and their current sales numbers for the DS. The video interview will also be featuring more clips of Super Mario Galaxy, which is currently scheduled for launch this November 12. Reggie Fils-Aime is back in the spotlight again, this time on Fox Business Network’s (FBN) Money for Breakfast segment. In the interview conducted by show host Alexis Glick, Reggie discusses Nintendo’s plans for the holidays, specifically on the surging demand for the Wii that’s been causing the constant shortages.
As Fils-Aime explained, while Nintendo was already punching out a total of 1.8 million Wii units worldwide, the demand for it (in the Americas alone) was high enough that they were still having problems keeping pace. The NoA president also touched on the DS’ phenomenal sales, and on some of the features for the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy game.
