Videos: Rock Band Deep Purple Demonstration and No Encore gameplay
For those of us who just can’t get enough of Harmonix‘ upcoming rhythm game that spans not one, not two, but four instruments of awesome, Rock Band for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 – here’s two more videos of the game in action, courtesy of the good people over at Gametrailers. Euphoria, baby, YEAH!
In this gameplay video update, we see how the game itself is played with a full team – that is, with every instrument available being utilized for maximum rock. While the game screen itself during play looks certainly cluttered with four scales moving at the same time, it doesn’t seem too hard for the players to get properly acquainted with them, as we see them doing pretty well on the songs they’re playing.
While support for all the roles of a typical rock band may be awesome – no other game lets you rock it out with your guitar controller while screaming out lyrics at the same time – we can’t help but worry that such a wide scope could somehow spread the gaming goodness too thin. Seeing the videos, this probably isn’t the case – as Rock Band just looks too darn fun to even think of passing up.
Updates as we get them, and enjoy the videos!
