Website For Rune Factory Now Online!

Oh no! Are we going to go farming again!? We know that Rune Factory will be a more ancient and mythical version of its more popular sibling, Harvest Moon. This week, Marvelous Interactive releases more information about the game to those who are still not over the charm of menial chores.

In the website, the MVI reveals the game’s system. Much like Harvest Moon, it involves the staple basics of farming and fishing. We’ve seen that bit before and honestly, it’s enough to keep us preoccupied at least until the next season. You can also get married to the lovely ladies in town. So where does the difference of Rune Factory and Harvest Moon begin? Well, the idea that monsters can freely invade your home and ransack the house that you worked hard for is something you cannot find in harvest moon. You can also raise the monsters that you have caught and encountered. They in turn can help you with your daily chores. So, gone are the elves and horses that you slavingly trained to your whim. You now in turn work with wild monsters who might just make you go mad.

Unlike the peace found in a farm, Rune Factory’s world seem a little more chaotic, perhaps more dynamic than its harvesting friend. Hopefully, like Harvest Moon, it will have little activities and mini-games that makes life a little more fun. With this game as an RPG, it means that you are going to go in and out of town looking for an adventure. However, will you still have enough time to take care of your crops? Maybe, the game can keep us hooked unto our screens until the end of the harvest season, but hopefully we’ll still manage to have more time to do more things. Rune factory looks a lot fun at the same time, a little complicated. No definite date has been given with regards to the release of the game, but definitely it will be out in 2006.

One more interesting thing about the website of Rune Factory is if you answer the questionnaire for the website, you can download a Rune Factory wallpaper. You may not understand it since it’s Japanese (you can always use babelfish), but an interesting question at the end asks people on what they would like to see in Rune Factory.
